Apostille requirement eliminated for international transport – Todo Logística News | 13/10/25

Argentina, together with Chile, Paraguay, Brazil, and Uruguay, agreed to eliminate the requirement for apostille of Certificates of Suitability and their annexes in international transportation operations within the Southern Cone. As a result, cargo and passenger carriers will no longer need to submit legalization through Foreign Affairs, thus reducing administrative time and costs. Instead, States will mutually recognize official electronic signatures, provided they employ secure verification and encryption methods. This digital shift will enable online document validation, enhance traceability and transparency, benefit the International Land Transport Agreement (ATIT), and speed up authorizations within MERCOSUR.
